Purina’s passion for pets goes beyond pushing pet nutrition forward, and into forging partnerships in the pet welfare world and raising awareness of what pets truly need.  After all, Purina has witnessed how powerful the bond with a pet can be, and the many unique ways that pets can strengthen our families and bring our communities closer.

Innovation

Helping to innovate PetCare is what they do. For example, Purina was the first to create a high protein/low carbohydrate therapeutic diet for the nutritional management of cat food taking diabetes in to account. And the first dry dog food brand to use real meat as the #1 ingredient. The list goes on, and it's only the beginning. Every day Purina moves forward, together, to advance the lives of pets everywhere.

Sustainability

This brand firmly believe that the essence of sustainability is learning to live within the boundaries of nature. By finding new ways to do so, and supplying high-quality and nutritious pet supplies while improving its impact on the Earth.

TIPS TO CHOOSE BEST FOOD FOR YOUR PET

Step 1. Consider your pet’s age, activity, breed and reproductive status

Your pet’s physical characteristics, behavior, and overall health are enormously important when choosing an appropriate pet food. Puppies and lactating mothers require more calories per day, while senior pets require fewer. Similarly, highly active breeds require more calories than couch potato breeds.

Step 2. Don’t forget to read the ingredients

Keep in mind that the label lists ingredients based on weight, and meats or meat meals take the first spot because they contain a high-water content. Choose a food with a meat or meat meal as the first ingredient. Dogs are omnivores, and only under extreme circumstances (such as very bad allergies) should they be fed a vegetarian diet.
